Eighteen volunteer drivers from the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center assisted the Gleason Lab in delivering 220 meals for the 2021 URG Appreciation Event on June 26, 2021. The delicious, culturally specific food was catered by TradeRoots.
In addition to the meal, participants received an update from Carey Gleason, PhD, MS, leader of the Wisconsin ADRC’s Inclusion of Under-represented Groups Core, a folder containing flyers from various studies, and gifts made by Oneida artist LeAnne Thomspon (a.k.a. Kalihwiyostha). “Kalihwiyostha” means “she/it makes the matters good.” LeAnne is also a member of the Alabama-Coushatta tribe.
