Held in conjunction with the quarterly meeting of Great Lakes Native American Elder Association (GLNAEA), Alzheimer’s in Indian Country offers educational programing on brain health and the impacts of Alzheimer’s disease in Native American communities.

This month’s featured presenters are Bonnie McKiernan, an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation and founder of Woodland Botanicals L.L.C., who shares traditional healing practices and natural medicine through interactive, hands-on workshops rooted in Indigenous knowledge; and Dr. Ronald Petersen, a world-renowned Alzheimer’s researcher from Mayo Clinic, former director of the Mayo Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, and current leader of the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging, with over 1,000 published articles on memory disorders, aging, and dementia.
